hard at the best of times & even tougher due to the impact of COVID-19.
 
What should my idea be about?
Consider the problem that thousands of students are facing right now—internships, campus events and career fairs have been canceled—what product or initiative would you create to help students connect with companies during these tough times? 

Don't limit your ideas to the Jumpstart platform—we want you to think of new, creative ways to do the most amount of social good, helping students in the most impactful ways possible.


How do I apply?
Click "Apply Now" to take you to the event page on Jumpstart. On that page, click "RSVP"—you'll be prompted to fill out the application form. If you have any issues, please contact us at marketing@jumpstart.me.


Do I need to be part of a team to submit an application?
No - you can submit an idea by yourself or on a team of up to 3 people.


Will Jumpstart own my idea?
Jumpstart will not be taking ownership of the ideas and the intellectual property will remain the property of the team who came up with the idea. This program is meant to give students the opportunity to develop an idea and be rewarded for their ingenuity.


Am I eligible to participate in the program?
Here is the participation criteria:
 - Each person can only join one team, each team can only apply once
 - You must currently be a student or have graduated within the last 2 years (includes bootcamp programs)
 - You are authorized to work in the USA for any employer
 - Each team member must have a profile on Jumpstart
 - It doesn’t matter if you have a summer internship or not!


What happens if I have one of the top 50 ideas?
Selected teams or individuals will be asked to create a presentation deck of a maximum of 5 slides, answering these questions:
 - What is your idea?
 - How does it work?
 - How is it different than existing solutions?
 - What specific pain point(s) does your idea solve?
 - What are the steps and/or workflow required to get you to a final solution?


What happens if I have one of the 3 winning ideas?
Jumpstart will work with you to provide mentorship from industry experts over a 6-week program that will include a 10-15 hours per week time commitment. You will also receive $10,000 per team!
